It is very easy to operate by utilizing the Citrix Workspace App client which gives the same look and feel as if working from a traditional Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops implementation on-premise or in a private Cloud.

Citrix Workspace will allow you to access any college applications or desktops assigned to you within the Citrix platform.

Employees: To use Citrix to access your physical office desktop PC, you must leave your PC turned on. If your PC is not turned on you will not be able to access it with Citrix.

Installing the Software

  1. Visit https://myhvcc.cloud.com in a web browser.
  2. Under the Employee Users section select Sign In.
  3. Enter your college email address and password then select Sign In.

  4. Select Detect Workspace to begin installation.
  5. Check the I agree with the Citrix license agreement box and then select Download.
  6. Launch or Run the downloaded installer application.
  7. Select Start to begin the installation process.
  8. Check the I accept the license agreement box and then select Next.
  9. Check the Enable single sign-on box and then select Install.
  10. Once installation is complete, select Add Account.
  11. On the Add Account window, enter myhvcc.cloud.com and then select Add.
  12. Enter your college email and password then select Log On.
  13. Any applications or desktops that have been assigned to you will appear in the menu. You will need to expand each section to see the available items.

Connecting to a physical computer

Employees: To use Citrix to access your physical office desktop PC, you must leave your PC turned on. If your PC is not turned on you will not be able to access it with Citrix.

  1. To connect to a physical computer (a desktop PC that is physical/bare-metal, and not in VDI), select Desktops from the left menu.
  2. All Desktops.
  3. Select the icon that represents your desktop. Options may vary by user.

      • Office (Windows 10 Virtual Desktop)
      • Banner (Windows 10 Virtual Desktop - Banner users only)
      • myOffice (Windows 10)
      • myOffice7 (Windows 7)
    • Students:
      • digMedia (Digital Media Students, BTC 1051, 1110, 1112, 1124 labs)
      • Bluebeam (HUD 145,146 labs)
      • Rhino (HUD 135 labs)
      • CADD (AMZ 102, BTC 308, GHC 112, 120,210,212,214 labs)
      • Automotive (CGN 152 labs)
      • Matlab
  4. When you have completed your work, please use the red LOGOFF icon to end your session.

  2. Left-click Run to begin the installation.
  3. Click Next to continue.
  4. Keep the default installation location and left-click Next to continue.
  5. Click Next on the Confirm Installation dialog and the installation will begin.
  6. Once the installation finishes, left-click Close in the window. The wizard will exit and it is now fully installed!

Workspace For Citrix Desktop

This article describes the steps for collecting logs and key data from Citrix Workspace app for Windows. This is applicable for Citrix Workspace app for Windows. The logs and data collected can be used by administrators to identify and troubleshoot configuration issues. The logs and data collected enable Citrix Technical Support to diagnose and troubleshoot cases. This mechanism replaces the Receiver Diagnostic tool.

Pre-Requisites

The log collection mechanism described in this article is supported with Citrix Workspace app version 2012 and higher.

Instructions

Workspace Citrix Download Mac

  1. Navigate to Advanced Preferences and click on ‘Log collection’
  2. The ‘Log collection’ dialog is launched. Set the desired log level. Log level ‘Verbose’ captures more detailed logs. Click on ‘Start collecting logs’ once you are ready to reproduce the issue.

Citrix Workspace For Mac 10.12

  1. The below dialog appears. Log collection is now in progress. Proceed to reproduce the issue with Workspace app for Windows. Once you have successfully reproduced the issue, click on ’Stop collecting logs’.
  1. The Workspace app collates all the logs collected as a .zip package. This could take a few minutes

Workspace For Citrix Client

  1. Click on ‘Save Logs’ to save the logs in a folder of your choice.
