The AWS Toolkit for Visual Studio Code is an open source plug-in for the Visual Studio Code that makes it easier to create, debug, and deploy applications on Amazon Web Services. With the AWS Toolkit for Visual Studio Code, you will be able to get started faster and be more productive when building applications with Visual Studio Code on AWS. The AWS Toolkit for Visual Studio Code provides support for AWS Lambda functions. Using the Toolkit for VS Code, you can author code for Lambda functions that are part of serverless applications. In addition, you can invoke Lambda functions either locally or on AWS. Lambda is a fully managed compute service that runs your code in response to events generated by custom code or from various AWS.

The AWS Toolkit for Visual Studio Code is an open source plug-in for the Visual Studio Code that makes it easier to create, debug, and deploy applications on Amazon Web Services. With the AWS Toolkit for Visual Studio Code, you will be able to get started faster and be more productive when building applications with Visual Studio Code on AWS. The toolkit provides an integrated experience for developing serverless applications, including assistance for getting started, step-through debugging, and deploying from the IDE.

Installation

Go to the Extension Marketplace in VS Code and search for AWS Amplify API. Click install on the extension with title 'AWS Amplify API'.

Usage

Visual Studio Aws Lambda Project

In a JavaScript, TypeScript, or JSX file, start typing an AWS Amplify API command that has a corresponding snippet and choose the appropriate snippet by either clicking it or pressing 'enter' or 'tab' when the correct snippet is highlighted in the dropdown menu. You can scroll between snippets using the up and down arrow keys.

Using Visual Studio Code

Prefix naming convention for full code block snippets: 'Amplify' + most recent heading in documentation.For code blocks that are not the first after a heading, prefixes are numbered in order (e.g. Kondo kagaku driver download for windows. 3rd snippet in section with heading 'Analytics Installation And Configuration' will have the prefix 'Amplify Analytics Installation And Configuration 3'.
